... I stumble across little tiny LED illumination circuit boards designed to slip inside a 4-pin Molex power connector to make the connector light up.

Couldn't we just set these "power gamers" on fire and have done with it?  What's next -- illuminated underwear, to give you the ultimate performance edge in those intense LAN parties?  Wait, I have it!  Both at once!  New, hot, ULTRA-GAMER underwear, with the power of WHITE PHOSPHORUS!

No gamers were harmed in the making of this satire.

Back in the dark ages, when I was involved in high-power rocketry, we had this manager type who was precise- didn't like waste, liked everything organized to a "T", but he liked redundancy, too- important in things that could go boom.

In his honor, on the top, front of the vibrantly complex field launch control panel we installed a single, red LED hooked to it's own power supply. This was the indicator light that the board was powered down.

I think we sprained him.
