How many differences can you spot?

Oh .... if you think it looks like the bone in that left little toe is trying to come out through the side of the foot ... why, yes, you're right.

Oooh. Are you experiencing any neuropathy in that left foot? Also looks like you've got some circulation issues.

In my lay opinion, I agree.

See the response below.

I had another thought to add to it, but I lost the thought when the power sagged in response to a nearby lightning strike and [livejournal.com profile] cymrullewes' machine, llioness, which is not yet on uninterruptible power, rebooted.

I went and kicked things because I was 4 words, 30 seconds from finishing a LJ comment about Tiramisu.

It isn't a question of is he experiencing any but when is he NOT experiencing any. But the neuropathy was before it got this bad. It sort of occured with orginal trauma.

Circulation issues yes. But I'm not certain if they are in his foot or just his foot can't return the blood to the leg because of the missing bit of vein.

What she said.

Yes, there are severe neuropathy issues. It's gotten a lot better than it was, but that's not saying much. Stepping on the corner of a towel on a thick bath mat with that foot is painful. Stepping on a pencil lying flat on a carpeted floor is painful. Neither one will send me through the ceiling any more, but yes, to all practial purposes I'm in pain 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Circulation, too, has gotten a lot better ... but is still compromised. A 30mmHg compression sock helps somewhat. Being able to run for exercise would help more, but toe pain and limited ankle motion almost completely preclude that. My walking endurance isn't sufficient to do much good.
