Tired thought-of-the-evening

I keep hearing people saying, thank god for this, thank god for that.  But you know what? If I actually believed that there was a god who is actually responsible for good things happening enough to deserve thanks for them, then I'd be left with no choice but to get totally mediaeval on his ass for all the bad shit that, by extension, he must be allowing to happen.

I had a thought on that subject, today. If the creationists were right, we do we have sexual reproduction? It's horribly inefficient if God has already got everything right. If we'd truly been created, why aren't we all asexual and parthenogenic?

Not to mention the spine. We walk upright; if we were designed in the first place to do so, why do we have a spine that's clearly still optimized for locomotion on all fours?

For that matter, if we were all created in God's image, which one of us exactly does God look like? A Bantu? An Inuit? Is he Han Chinese, Indian, or Australian aboriginal? Or maybe Maori?
