Now, admittedly, I was there just as Steve was coming back ('96-'99), and I was working in an environment that was relatively shielded from product development, and I was at Austin TX and Sacramento CA, not 1 Infinite. But, I never saw or heard of this sort of behavior. And I was privy to pre-release info on products (I was responsible for supporting the damn things after all).
A lot could have changed since my days, but it does kinda have the smell of over hyped BS to me.
That said, I did my time at the fruit co. I tend to never say never (it is a long time, after all), but it will be a surprising day indeed if I ever get another paystub from them. Not in the least because they have no presence whatsoever in NZ...
