Looks like a vote for Obama-Biden is a vote for the RIAA.  Dear Senator Joe also thinks that there's no such thing as too much wiretapping, and that if you use encryption you should have to surrender the keys upon demand; and his Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995 laid the groundwork for the much-reviled PATRIOT Act and has co-written bills with him.

Heck, Dianne Feinstein likes him.  That should be enough of a counter-recommendation for anyone.

You have to be careful listing out the reasons to vote again McCain and Obama...there's a limited number of bits available on the webbertubes.

BTW, a bit more homework tells me that McCain has actually flipped on this issue--he used to oppose the RIAA's position, now he talks vaguely of "intellectual property" and has doubts about net neutrality. Ironically, it appears that McCain's campaign has a pattern using well-known songs without the copyright-holder's permission.

The usual pattern: One law for "us", one for everyone else....
