I note, purely for purposes of observation and information, that the combination of freshly made cappucino, Torani caramel syrup, and Isle of Jura 10-year-old single-malt is verra nice.  :)

And me in a country where Johnny Walker Black is considered the best available and still costs less than the Torani syrup!

*laugh* David and I looked at getting a traditional espresso maker a couple of weeks ago. We just managed to talk ourselves out of it.

Well. fine. I won't move in. So there. :P

Define a traditional espresso maker.

Alton Brown recently took on espresso (http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com/Season10/espresso/espressyourself.htm).

Neat.

A cube of ice.

A dash of water.

Everything else is a sin.

o/" I've been looking for an original sin,

One with a twist and a bit of a spin .... o/`

Hm... wonder how that would be with a tiny shot of Cask Strength Macallan, instead?
One of our faves is milk mixed with St. Brendan's Irish Cream and Cask Chocolate Liqueur.

I think it is better with Tullamore Dew and equal amount sugar, about 1 1/2 tbsp each. No caramel syrup.
