My sole W2 has arrived.  Our official, certified, printed in black and white income for 2003 was ... wait for it ... $330.

I wonder if the INS will accept this as documenting that I'm broke enough for a fee waiver for naturalization?

Probably safer to be a citizen than a "foreign national", even of a friendly nation. Besides, I have nothing really to lose -- the US will require me to give up UK citizenship to become a US citizen, but the UK does not recognize the right of any foreign government, including the US, to require US citizens to renounce their citizen ship. So I can have de facto, even if not de jure, dual citizenship.

And it might give me a shot at defense-related jobs.
