Thank [livejournal.com profile] dafydd for this link.  Just when you thought bling could hardly get any more crass....  I wonder how long it'll be now before this is used as a new advertising medium?

UPDATE:  I forgot to mention he also linked to this independently-developed bicycle version (original link from [livejournal.com profile] mactavish).  Now THIS is cool.  Could do wonders for night-time visibility of bicyclists....

You know, I never liked any wheel things, but if I could get a movie of a horse cantering I might do that. :)

And in the same vein... there's this (http://www.enlighted.com/pages/bras.shtml).

Some of those, particularly the flashing EL wire spirals, actually verge on mildly disturbing .....

No, I'm not sure why.

Actually, he also linked to a bicycle version (http://www.ladyada.net/make/spokepov/). Now that, I think, is pretty cool. Should seriously enhance nighttime visibility.

Oh, I dunno. If I had that much excess cash to waste on crap, those might be kind of cool. I could program them to say, "hang up and drive," or "use your turn signals," or "learn to merge."

I'd think the problem with displaying messages like that on your wheels might be getting hit by people fixated on trying to read them.

Why on earth is the image of the busty wench with the big hair so enduringly popular?
Tuesday, April 4th, 2006 09:14 am (UTC)
Because bald busty wenches freak people out?

-grin- :)

Well, why wouldn't a busty wench....

...er, I mean:

Oh, the Trucker Mudflap Chrome Chick? I don't know, I think it's some kind of Macho Man Memetic Thing.

I'd be tempted to upload an image of a wheel hub, so it looks like the wheels are never moving.

It'd be like watching one of those old western movies, with the magic wagon wheels...

Digital swept imaging on a rotating wheel to simulate spinners. There's something very perversely warped about that.

Why, thank you! :-D
