VirtualCD's runtime upgrade check keeps telling me today that there's an updated version available, v7.1 (I'm currently on v7.0.0.1), and I should upgrade.
There's just one problem with this. If you click the link it offers and go to their site to download the upgrade, you will get an installer that claims to be v7.1 that actually (a) installs 7.0.0.1 again, and (b) will totally blow away your VirtualCD configuration in the process. What's worse, unlike VirtualCD 4, VirtualCD 7 does not keep its CD configuration in a file that you can easily just restore.
This is a major blunder on their part. One hopes they will fix it soon.
