...my ears are sufficiently plugged up to make me slightly dizzy, and they won't clear. Two pseudephedrine tablets under the tongue (ack! Foul taste!) have so far not helped. I'll try two more in a minute, but I sense an impending high-test red curry somewhere in the immediate future. About three whole habaƱeros ought to do the job, at a guess.

And particularly why not to do so with a gift certificate, courtesy of the Geek With A .45 (for some values of "the").
You know those five-gallon rigid PET water bottles with the side handle and screw cap, for water dispensers? The ones with the side handles that you can buy empty at K-Mart, not the ones with the tap that you get from the grocery store? They make excellent rice storage containers. Airtight, convenient handle, pours easily, holds 25lb of rice. A one-gallon milk bottle with the base cut off will usually snap neatly into the neck of the water bottle to make an excellent funnel for filling. You might have to experiment with several different milk brands to find the best fit (I found the space-saver bottles Costco sells milk in to fit well).
