A hot time in the old town tonight

cymru bought me more habaneros at the grocery store yesterday, because I used the last of the ones we had for a batch of Malayan red curry. I just cleaned, halved and de-seeded all the new habaneros and put them in a ziplock bag to freeze.

This is the point at which the prudent next step is to wash one's hands.

Me?  I licked my fingers and thumb.  :)

This may fall under the heading of TMI, but it is funny as hell....now. David was cleaning and cooking with Jalapeno's a few years ago. When he was done, we had some wine and started fooling around. In the middle of things I started uhm...burning in places where one does not typically want such sensations. It just kept getting worse and worse. Finally, I said something to him because I was baffled as to why it was happening. Suddenly he looked at his hands and we both went, "The peppers".

Yeah. Capsaicin needs to be kept away from all tender bits, not just the eyes. :)
