Louisiana is in the process of passing a law that would add a mandatory additional sentence for using a computer-generated "virtual map" in the commission of any crime, ranging from one year for "ordinary" crimes such as burglary to ten years for terrorist acts.

I have no words to express how utterly box-of-hammers stupid this is.

So, when I log into DDO & go on a job, if I see a locked box anywhere and decide to pick the lock to see what's inside I could end up in jail for using DDO's maps? LOL!

My wife wasn't sure you'd get my joke, but I assured her you'd understand it without further explanation. Thanks for "getting it" on the first try!

I think this might be the second most retarded piece of legislation I've heard of in a long time. I only say "second" 'cuz I'm saving "most" for later, just in case.

Things like this are why I keep mentally adding "...and one moving violation" to a lot of proposed or accepted legislation.

One more reason I will never, ever go anywhere near Louisiana. Out of several bazillion gazillion. I mean, I know Chicago is bad, Los Angeles ought to be emblamed, it's so bad, and Seattle, well, the less said, the better. But Louisiana -- the whole state -- beats them all. Hands down.
