Unshelved has it wrong.

The real dangerous ideas are the ones that teach you NOT to think.

(Well, actually, let me reword that.  I’m pretty sure that Unshelved gets it perfectly well.  It’s the complaining parent in this strip who has it wrong.)

Heh, I have been on the receiving end of that, as the parent. It turns out that the schools do not approve of the way I supplement my children's education at home.

The cynical (who, me?) might suggest that a great many school systems are by this point actively trying to prevent education.

NH schools, fortunately, seem so far to be fairly good.
