fruitylips raises an interesting question
In response to this post, ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif) fruitylips asked who the head of the Obama vetting team is, mentioning a half-recollection that said individual had himself had some kind of ethics problem.  I eventually, via a circuitous and indirect route, stumbled across a clue that led me to track down this Huffington Post article, which declares that the current wearer of that hat, as of mid-January, is White House Counsel Gregory B. Craig.

The curious thing is that I have so far drawn a total blank trying to find out whom he replaced in that role. It's as though the prior wearer of the hat stumbled into a black hole one day. I find this interestingly inconsistent with all the Obama administration's talk about transparency and openness.
