Bopaboo.  It's the new Napster.

Money quote:

[Meshkin] said that in such harsh economic times the music industry must accept a few risks.  After all it was they who allowed their music to be sold without DRM in the first place.

The stupid.  It burns!  Practically anyone who's ever even heard of Napster and its brain-dead excuse for a business model should be able to predict that this guy is going to get sued out of existence.

This will undoubtedly make you feel old, but today's college freshmen think Napster was something from ancient history.

After all, it was pretty much out of business by the time they were 11.

True. But even so, you'd think most people wouldn't be so stupid as to base an entire business plan on what amounts to "Well, it's your fault for not bolting it down."

Just what we need, another precedent supporting DRM as a business model from the courts. Asinine, on several levels.
