Just in case anyone else didn't catch on, this article about Sarah Palin's interview with Charles Gibson, written by "political humorist" Andy Borowitz, is satire.  (Rather hostile and venomous satire, but satire nonetheless.)  Think of Borowitz as sort of like a bitter version of Dave Barry, except that if Dave Barry had written this article, he'd have written it so that it was (a) more obviously satire and (b) actually funny.

this is why i don't like the onion. they write as if it were true, and that's part of the joke, i guess, is to hope people believe it.

I submit that anyone who believes an article in the Onion gets what they deserve. :)

Actually, I thought at first this was an Onion article. Then I saw that it wasn't on the Onion, and was briefly confused. Then I saw the author attribution at the bottom, and all became clear. The sad part is that a heck of a lot of the Democratic faithful out there are going to leap on this as a serious news article without even wondering if it's satire, because, you know, it bashes Sarah Palin, so it must be true, because everyone On The Side Of Right already knows she's the Antichrist.

in my case, it was an idiot mailing me articles from it, without saving it was the onion per se. back when the onion was fresh and new, and not many people knew what it was.

now? i just don't read it. poor satire is a waste of time.

That. Most of the time, the Onion isn't even funny.
