I think this is correct. I'm reasonably certain that when I drove east in 2005, when leaving Utah I passed through Colorado then swung north into Nebraska, going through Lincoln, rather than continuing east through Kansas and Missouri. I'm reasonably sure I did not ever actually enter Michigan. However, I'm not 100% certain whether in 2002, we passed through the southern portion of Arkansas or the northern part of Louisiana.
