Remember too, all that pool of water, oil, toxic waste, fertilizer, sewage, and floating pig corpses has nowhere to go but downriver. Iowa's problem is now becoming Illinois' and it will continue to move down-river, eating at levees and spreading its toxic sludge out farther and farther, possibly picking up new components as levees breach. And at the end of this inexorable march of the Waters of Doom lies...
Illinois? It's already become more than Illinois' problem. The Mississippi is rising enough in Gulfport, MS to threaten the levees there. They're already sandbagging.
The noon news was full of the spreading flooding in Illinois. And the mention that the water is moving down the Mississipi--next stop, Mississippi the state... Hence my comment. It's going to get a lot wetter out there. And what's in the water is Really Bad News.

"Water, water, everywhere ... and not a drop to drink."
