Who remembers SD Rep. Bill Janklow?

Habitual speeder, brags about it, makes a habit of causing accidents and blaming non-existent vehicles that no other involved driver or witness ever sees?  Miraculously cleaned up his driving record while he was Governor because the South Dakota state patrol had standing orders not to ticket him?

Hit and killed a motorcyclist last year when he blew a rural stop sign at over 70mph in his Cadillac?

Found guilty on all counts, and facing up to 11 years in prison?

100 FUCKING DAYS, folks.

And he could be eligible for work-release as soon as 30 days.

This is your legal system at work, folks, telling you once again that Motorcyclists Don't Fucking Matter.  I hereby nominate the judge for the Sen. Carl Koella Memorial Getting Away With "Oh, Wait, It Was Only A Motorcyclist, It Ain't Murder" Award.

You are right to be angry, but you're going off in the wrong direction. It wasn't the insignificance of the motorcyclist that created this moral fiasco; rather, it was the "good-old-boy network."

Janklow is In with the would-be Oligarchs. In fact, he's one of them. You would just naturally expect them to take care of their own, right?

If the motorcyclist had been a Republican senator, it might have been different.
