google fired one of my heros. Brian Reid, for being "too old" at 54? he worked at adobe (one of two brothers) and did some awesome shit that some of these kids these days could only dream of.
course, brian also kept taking down our servers with altavista tests set to aggressive mode :)
the curse of Gen-X: when we were young, nobody would hire us because we had no experience. The world valued age and experience. Now that we're older, employers value youth, vigor, and the willingness to sleep on the sofa down the hall from your desk and have no life in exchange for peanuts.
