There comes a time

... in the night when you have to acknowledge that sleep Just Ain't Happening Tonight.  Sometimes you can figure out something to do instead of sleep.  Sometimes you can't.  I think this is something like what Susan Ivanova called the hour of the wolf.

I'm half tempted to get dressed and start wiring the 30A circuit for my 3KVA UPS.  Except that pretty much the first thing I'll have to do is run the outside cable from the deckhouse down to the garage, and it's pitch dark out there under the deck, not to mention bloody cold.
