I would just like to comment that I am immensely gratified to see the spreading wave of civil disobedience over the gay-marriage issue.  This is of course just my opinion, but IMHO the USA needs a great deal more civil disobedience.  It's long past time people started telling their legislators, "You're full of shit, and you're not doing your job of representing us.  We want this, we're going to do it, and we don't think you've got the balls to try to stop us."

Let's save our civil disobedience for issues of importance... I'm not sure mob rule is such a good idea... but yes, when it concerns freedom - to marry or to travel or to not fight a war we don't believe in or things like that... yes, we need more civil disobedience.... and more free blogs to help organize it.

On the other hand, it has to start somewhere. So why not start on the "lesser" issues that the Aristocracy^WGovernment isn't likely to push back as hard on, and get people used to the idea of reminding their government whom it is that government is supposed to be for?
