[livejournal.com profile] meglimir's latest post reminds me that I got friended for no apparent reason by a mysterious Russian a while back, one Natalya Alexanderovich ([livejournal.com profile] alexanderovich).  She's never posted, though, or commented in my journal. I'd speculate that it's a for-reading-only journal and that she came to me by way of the widely read [livejournal.com profile] james_nicoll, the only common "friend" I have with her, except that she friended me before him.  (At the time she friended me, she only had two other people friended, and James wasn't one of them.)

Her journal is titled "Diary of an International Superspy".  The mystery continues unresolved thus far.  Given the title, I can only speculate that it's all posted in microdot.  :)

Now if I could just enlarge the bottom dot of the colon after "LiveJournal" a few hundred times ....

Not that alexanderovich is using their real name, but Natalya would not be an Alexanderovich. That's a male patronymic. Female would be -vicha, -a, -ova, -ovna, -ina

just sayin' :)

Well, yeah. I should probably have said "purported Russian". :)

they aren't a very good superspy if they can't even get a believable name.

I'll be a superspy, if I can get paid the superspy rate ;)

when I was a child, I wanted to grow up to be James Bond

then I grew up, and realized I had no interest in a government job.

That's quite a point. Imagine the paperwork on blowing up the odd Caribbean island or two ....

Just the requisition paperwork for the explosives alone would fill a filing cabinet. ;)

I entertained a possibility that she's Jewish or Ukrainian. Some of those people have similarly sounding surnames (e.g. Shenderovich). But it's not likely.
