Lawn mowed, now that we finally had a sunny weekend and a few days without rain to let the lawn dry out. Clippings bin on the mower emptied, oh, 20 times or so. Clippings chute on the mower cleared, oh, about the same number of times. Maybe a few more. The chute on the bagger doesn't just clog if you look at it funny; it clogs every time someoen three counties away gives his dog a dirty look. Especially when the grass is long.
Back steps and the immediate surrounds of the swing set trimmed. Two large fallen pine boughs and one small fallen tree (I think) hauled down to the deck for sawing. Need a heavy-guage steel pipe to repair the seesaw on the swing set, the balance arm of which was a thin-wall steel tube which, not surprisingly, snapped in half at the center recently. Yes, Virginia, it's metal fatigue — one of the clearest cases of metal fatigue I've ever seen, actually. And yes, it cracked right through one of the two (through-drilled, non-reinforced) bolt holes.
Energy depleted.
Applying doppio cappucino.
