We've lost our Gingerbear

hrrunka just got back from the hospital, where he went to visit Peter Murray again this afternoon.  He didn't get to see Peter this time.

Peter Murray, aka Gingerbear, Agniputra and other avatars, died at about ten past three today, British Summer Time (UTC+1), 1410Z.  His sister Helen and her partner were with him at his bedside when he died.

We have lost our Gingerbear, and we are diminished.

This is the problem with reading LJ backwards-chronologically. Last I knew, he was doing a bit better... and then I saw guppiecat's memorial, which made me cry.

What an astounding loss.

Do you know what Peter's favourite tipple was? I think it'd be appropriate to hoist one.
