Lost in translation

Fun with Babel from james_nicoll....

Now imagine that it was some dead human language to an obscure demonic language to Latin to English.  I expect all across universes where the occult is real, there are little piles of carbon that used to be would-be sorcerers who thought automated translation could do the heavy lifting.

The idea is to get other people to provide the money. :) It just came up out-of-context somewhere around NEDoD, and I was amused by the idea of being paid (lots of money, naturally, that's the wealthy part) to be wealthy and eccentric.

I think that I would prefer to be wealthy and eclectic. I could perhaps become eccentric but it seems too close to ego-centric to me.
