This is a photograph of the Sun, in neutrinos, taken through the Earth.

The image was generated from almost a year and a half of neutrino tracks from Japan's Super-Kamiokande neutrino detector.

dr_nebula.

Apparently in this image, the actual diameter of the Sun is about half a pixel. High-resolution directional tracking is not Super-Kamiokande's strong point.
