Actually, that's a seven-man gun crew. But even if it were six, you'd still be barking up the wrong tree.

The portrait is actually a clue to what's important about the other two.

Look at it this way: The two large photos have something specific in common. The small photo is a clue to identifying what that something is. The actual number of troops in the gun crew is not significant.

I still got nuthin'. Perhaps my poor attention in math classes is holding me up here. Only thing I came up with is 2 gun barrels, 2 rotor heads. And I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with Mersenne. Thought maybe the 46 was a Mersenne, but it ain't. So I'll just sit here and look stoopid for a bit. :D

46 is not a Mersenne prime, no. Identifying the specific type of AA gun would help. :)
