We appear to be out of heating oil.  We ordered another 50 gallons, but we left the order a day or two later than we meant to, and the fuel truck doesn't come until tomorrow.

It's starting to get frelling cold in here.

#2 Fuel Oil? Also known as Kerosene, and awfully similar to Diesel. 5 gallons of whatever shouldn't hurt it.... and keep you warm.

(I remember the morning WE were out of heating oil when I was little... Dad went down to the jet pump and got a couple gallons of Jet A.... we were soon warm :)

A little late, I think. The furnace has already given up, which means the tank's dry and the pump needs to be re-primed (according to Walter), which I don't know how to do. I don't even know where this furnace's pump is.

It's 01:04. No one is open and we haven't a fuel can, that I know of. At least not one large enough to bring the level up to the outlet. Plus we've got fuel scheduled for delivery ... tomorrow morning.

dang, no Super Wal-Mart?

Well, y'all snuggle up and stay warm, then....

Actually, we have a 2.5 gallon fuel can somewhere ... the problems are more [1] finding a place that's open this time of night that sells kerosene or diesel, and [2] getting the pump re-primed afterwards.

The fuel truck's coming in the morning. We'll deal with it then.

The girls have a heater in their room. We've got a heated mattress pad and Wen will probably wake around about 04:00 to get in bed with us and I won't put her back in her crib in the morning. And I'll make bread in the morning to warm the house up somewhat while we wait for the fuel delivery. (And get caught up on laundry. :-p)

And worst case, we run an extension cord into the office from a separate circuit and fire up the E3000. (Or roll it out into the livingroom and fire it up there.)

I always said those big old Suns were space heaters...

The only thing stopping us right now is we're not sure the breaker box will handle it. The electrical plant in this spamcan is a piece of shit.

We have an oil-filled electric radiator in the girls' room, cranked up as high as it'll go. Their room is warm. Out here it's 60°F and dropping.

Yes, yes, except the stupid fuses won't take the load. :-p

OK, sounds like you'll be OK. Was a little worried.

Y'all get some sleep, eh? :)

Sleep? What is this sleep you are referring to? (Actually... Wen is finally starting to sleep through the night.)

Light your socks, young Wallace! That'll teach those Germans.

But, but ... that would violate the Geneva Convention!
