From a conversation cymrullewes had on IM:

(22:33:00) prefer trillian:  I envisage you as quite tall, good-looking in a stately, Irish kind of way, probably late thirties, red hair.

(22:33:49) prefer trillian:  Alaric, probably a shaved head, tall, not especially muscular but strong in a wiry kind of way, probably has at least one tattoo.

So, tell me y'all who have met us, would you say this is reality?  :-)

And for those who haven't met us, would you please comment with how you envisage us?

I will not be correcting any, er ... misapprehensions until everyone's had a chance to comment, to avoid biasing the data ;)

(Of course, at least two of my userpics give fairly good information ..... don't peek!)

Oh dear....if I were envisioning you as your admin persona, it would be tallish, on the wiry side with thinning brownish hair (perhaps in a ponytail) and a wispy goatee (why is it that a majority of computer admins are cut from a similar length of cloth?). But the motorcycle throws a small wrench in those set of works....

probably about the same but lose the goatee....

Frequently unshaven, but no ponytail and no goatee. But probably pretty close otherwise. :)

He forgot to mention that his hair is blackish, not brownish. :-D

He has yet to do a goatee, that I've seen. Full beard twice. Mustache once, for several hours. I came home and the first words out of my mouth were rather uncomplimentary. I'd regret it except that it got him to finish shaving almost immediately and I rejoiced greatly.

Please bear in mind that I seldom remember, or recognize, physical characteristics. Also, attempting to visualize the clay vessel when all I have seen is the elegance of the mind is more that a bit daunting.

I picture you as mid tall (about 6 foot) carrying perhaps 10 to 20 extra pounds. Slightly balding (if only from pulling hair from having two little ones). Hair is dark, curly. Rectangular face. No facial hair. Fit, within the limits of current physical restrictions. Not bulky or wiry, somewhere in between. ???

cymrullewes I have had much less interaction with, and not read as much. I suspect that most of her beauty is from her mind, but she would still be quite attractive. (Sorry, all I can think of is Ginny Heinlein, in one of her many guises. Intelligent, resourceful, capable [requirements for a Mom])

Yeah, I have a few pounds around my waist I could stand to lose, due to limited ability to exercise (notably that I can't run yet). But no sign of balding yet, and straight to wavy hair, not curly. I have a few little bald spots, but most of them are scars I've had since I was 18 months old.

Well I have seen the tell-tale user icons - so I'll leave you out of it...
cymrullewes I have no 'physical image' of tho... I'd guess average height - around 5'6"-5'8" or so... dark hair, fair complexion.

If I hadn't seen said userpic, I'd probably think you looked like the person in your default userpic, since that's what everyone looks like to me - note: I am neither male nor blond ;)

I have no idea what you look like :)
I've learned that even when people's userpics are photos of real people, they aren't necessarily photos of the journal owner or even look anything like them. As in this example. :)

And back to default userpics, that ain't me either. :-) But it is a VERY close approximation of me from that age.
