So says Ira Winkler, a former NSA analyst.  And you know what?  Wheh you read his explanation, he has a pretty valid point.

I agree with most of his points. That is not the reason that my response is "meh". The reason that I don't much care is that many businesses have much better information about me than the government can hope to muster. They get it without a warrant, and they sell it.

Crying wolf is the biggest problem.

I agree, and I think it's outrageous that private companies can make a business out of selling MY personal information without my permission.

great article, thanks for sharing it. my senators and congresscritter are/were? strongly in favour of the updated patriot act and national id cards.
