Just checked the remaining dressing on my knee.  I conclude that leaving it open without a dressing at all for most of yesterday was the right thing to do, because the upper suture that was still bleeding slightly yesterday did not bleed at all yesterday evening or last night; the gauze sponge was clean when I took it off.  Right now, it's a little swollen again after having the Ace wrap off for several hours; as soon as I get lunch for the smalls, I need to go lie down for a while.

Progress continues.  The sutures still itch, though, and anything that torques my knee axially hurts.

Vitamin E oil, either from a bottle or the capsules. It worked wonders for my mom after she had both of her knees replaced. I liked the capsules better as they give better control when you are applying to the sutures.

*giggle* Sorry. He does not like to have anything greasy on his skin at all.

I wonder if the arnica gel would reduce some of the itching while it reduces some of the bruising...

Oh yeah, who are you? :-)

I've been lurking for a while and finally got a LJ. I'm still a little shy about this.

Sorry about the first message. I'm not use to this yet. If you don't want me posting please say so and I'll go back to lurking.
Vitamin E isn't that greasy if you put a light coat or just one drop per wound and gently rub it in. It worked wonders for the itching of 24 sutures and kept the scaring to barely seen mimimum.

Not at all, it's just that most people who read either my journal or [livejournal.com profile] cymrullewes' are linked to us through someone we know personally or who we share a community with. So it makes us curious when someone shows up out of the blue. :)

(Well, relatively out of the blue -- the only common links are Howard and Sandra Tayler, and, well, I think THOUSANDS of people read Howard.)

His last comment. The only common thread I could find was Sandra and Howard Tayler.

There's 16 out of the 50 Friends that I ~haven't~ met face to face and of those 16 only 5 that I wouldn't call friend.

Of the 85 people who have Friended me, I would count 63 of them as friends (yeah, I know more than the 50 I've got on my Friends list.) I need to re-org.

So yeah, who are you? I like 2 out of your three interests. (I prefer Irish Wolfhounds to Great Danes though. :-) For your first interest (http://co.ordinate.org/files/recipes.pdf)...

oooh, more recipes! ~grinz and steals you~

Don't steal me. Only a scant handful of the recipes are mine. The cookies, the pudding, the lasagna, the pizza, and the american pancake recipes are my contributions.

OHOHOHOHOHOHOH! Thank you!
I followed you over from Howard Tayler's because I was interested in what you said and I liked your icon at time (B5) and just stayed. You both seem like very nice people and you both have very similar interests to me. Unixronin gets quite technical at times and I can't always follow what he is saying but I learn things when I do.
I grew up with Great Danes, and they will always be first in my heart. But I like Wolf-Hounds too.
Thank you for letting me stay. :)
