Splat Day coming up

This Friday, March 10, will be the seventh anniversary of Splat Day, and we will be commemorating it in approximately the usual fashion.  We're still working on menu details, but we've more or less decided it will include sushi (provided I can remember how to get the rice cooked right), pizza, teahouse chicken wings, probably sweet rolls, and chocolate orange cheesecake. 

Space is in somewhat short supply; we're in a rather small 2BR condo at present.  RSVP for directions if you're planning to attend and don't already know how to get here.  For that matter, if you DO know how to get here and are planning to attend, RSVP anyway just so we know how many to expect.

Festivities, such as they are, will probably commence around about 6pm.

Splat Day is the day we celebrate the fact that the lady in the full-size station wagon splatted him and he is walking away from it.

ya know, i have no idea what the date was when i mangled my knee against a car door, at least i limped away from that one.

Well.... the first anniversary we actually celebrated the fact that he just got the CBR929RR. After that we celebrated the walking or successful surgery. This year it is celebrating successful pain management.

I didn't have the 929 until June. I think it's mostly been more "failure to go splat" than anything more specific.

he's got an appointment tomorrow afternoon to get a pain relief treatment that should abate the pain for the next 6 to 8 months.

One component of the pain, anyway. It should block all the sympathetic pain. It won't affect any of the structural pain.
