I just had a very odd idea that just might open a few people's eyes:  A Magic-style collectible card game of American politics.  You wouldn't have to make up anything.  There'd be a footnote on each card for every dirty campaign trick listing a few people who used it, and for every self-serving bill listing who submitted it.  There'd be cards like "Investigate Yourself:  No opposing player can launch an investigation against you while this card is in play."

I need to run this past the Looney Labs guy.

You should build up a full prototype first, and then look into selling it. Just the germ of an idea isn't worth as much

My sweetheart would love them.

I think most kids would find them dull, and most adults would find them threatening.

No, but I've heard about it, including some of the rules such as that if a player leaves the table, the other players are encouraged to divide his money among themselves....

ya might wanna get a deck and look at the rules. if i misremember corectly, players are encouraged to look at the cards of someone that leaves to go potty or whatever.
