Sick as a dog for the second day running.  Dog tired and dragging, headache, sinuses clogged, cough, post-nasal drip, the whole schmeer.  cymrullewes said she'd been pretty sure I was trying to fight something off for the previous two days before that.

hey, is there a turntable that hooks, or a way to hook a turntable to a computer to rip each song as an MP3?

Lacking a computer-controlled turntable, no. However, I have some scripts for ripping any arbitrary audio source to MP3 on a Unix machine; I mostly use it to encode from cassette tape. There's a certain amount of manual intervention required, and preprocessing to reduce surface noise before the encoding stage may be necessary.

There might be some kind of servo-controlled followon to the ADC Accutrac, but that's a wild-assed guess.
