[livejournal.com profile] voltron_rex reports what appears to be very bad form on LiveJournal's part.  It appears if someone -- which doesn't have to be you -- makes a "suspected fraudulent payment" for your account, LiveJournal 's policy is to PERMANENTLY suspend "all accounts involved" ... including yours.  So it appears there's a potential denial-of-service against LiveJournal -- anyone who doesn't like you or what you say in your journal, and can figure out how to make a fraudulent or apparently-fraudulent payment to your account (which could cost them as little as $3, for one month's paid status), can get your journal permanently suspended.

In the case referenced, the account was accidentally paid twice, through PayPal, and then the overpayment was refunded.  LiveJournal decided this constituted a "suspected fraudulent payment".  [livejournal.com profile] voltron_rex, the payor, and [livejournal.com profile] saansaansaan, the account holder, are trying to get it straightened out ... but if the account is "permanently suspended" on the grounds of a "suspected fraudulent payment", then it's a bit fucking late, isn't it...?

This is a bad policy that needs to be fixed.
