About mid-May 2003, card croaks and will no longer function in 3D mode; it's 2D only. Exchange of communication with PNY results eventually in an RMA. Two months later, I finally receive a replacement.
The good news: The replacement card is a 128MB Ti4600. It comes with a note saying, "Congratulations! You have been upgraded!" The bad news: it croaks after three days. Mutter darkly, contact PNY again.
Six more weeks later, I have a second replacement card. This one's a Ti4200 again. The "Sorry! We downgraded you again!" note is conspicuous by its absence.
The card continues more or less trouble free until this year, when I attempt to put it into
Call PNY. "Sorry, that card's out of warranty."
"But the package said it had a lifetime warranty!"
"Yes. Lifetime is until we discontinue support. We've discontinued that card."
