drnebula reports that Steve died earlier today following an automobile accident.  Though I knew him only online and we didn't talk often, Steve had one of the brightest and sharpest minds I've been privileged to run across.  By failing to meet him in person, I feel I have missed a singular opportunity, which will now never come again.

So long, Steve.  We are diminished by your absence.

Oh yeah ... medical update.

Sutures came outa my toes today.  I'm down to just steri-strips now, and I have authorization to get my foot wet starting tomorrow.  I can't soak it, but I can shower again.  (Yay!)
