Playstation 3 unveiled

Sony has just announced the technical details of their Playstation 3.  3.2GHz PowerPC CPU with twice the processing power of MS's Xbox 360, 3.2GHz XDR system RAM, nVidia RSX graphics with 256MB of GDDR3 packing twice the punch of a GeForce 6800...  HDTV output up to 1080p, Dolby 5.1 with DTS, a Blu-Ray DVD drive ...  sounds like the Xbox 360, liquid-cooled or not, may be obsolete before it even ships.  Meanwhile, MS apparently continues to try to cover up design flaws in the original Xbox that can cause failure of the Xbox, electrical fires, or even, reportedly, cause the Xbox to explode.

"And Microsoft?  Microsoft kicks the dog."
