Quite the marathon day today; from Reno, Nevada to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Depending on what points in Reno and Cheyenne you measure between, that's an even thousand miles driving for today, including the crossing of the Rockies. (I was interested to see that if you cross the Continental Divide on I-80, you cross it at 7,000 feet, whereas if you cross it on I-90, you cross it at 11,000. Probably just as well; this C230 was doing all it could to maintain 65 at wide-open throttle even on the relatively shallow grades on this route. I suspect I'd have been down to 45 on I-90. It's also been making me very uncomfortable on high-speed curves. I will NOT be keeping this car long-term.)
Bedtime, now. I don't know whether my back's slightly improved or whether I'm just relearning how to avoid triggering it. It's a known problem -- my right hip rotates backward, my sacrum rotates up and counterclockwise slightly, and they pinch a nerve between them. It's usually excruciatingly painful when the nerve gets pinched, and it can leave me unable to move for several seconds. As long as I'm careful to stay straight, or lean or twist only to the left, I'm OK. If I lean or twist to the right, I'm in deep trouble.

I could, I suppose, be deluded.

The Continental Divide in Montana is at 6300 feet, just east of Bozeman. Been there, done that. :)
