Getting ready to move

...And while I've been pretty frantic this weekend because it seems so much of what still needs to be done, needs to be done at the last minute, I think I'm going to be ready.  I have five boxes of stuff that are going to get shipped ahead tomorrow, and possibly one or two more on Tuesday.  I probably wouldn't need to ship anything, if not for having two large monitors (a 21" and a 20") and a significant pile of computers to bring with me.  It may take some trial-and-error to find how best to fit everything in, but I think it'll all go.  I'm doing pretty well on getting the perishable foods used up, except for the frozen stuff -- there's still a whole bunch of frozen chicken in the freezer.

The plan is all the furniture and the housewares are to be gone by noon, then I finish loading, ship a last couple of boxes ahead if necessary, grab a free burrito for lunch from the new burrito place over at Mathilda and the bignum, and then hit the road.

Last time I did this solo cross-country stuff, I was 20 years younger and had a lot less stuff to move.  That one went fairly smoothly.  This time I'll be going the opposite direction, but ironically, going most of the way on I-80 again just like the first time.

This is far from the first time I've moved.  Hell, it's far from the first time I've moved on my own.  Why do I feel so jittery?

I seem to have missed something essential...
I read the entry about the April 5th road-trip (unfortunately, a bit too far north for me to take ya to lunch en route) and the entry about giving notice on the apartment...
But I'm still putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with π...
When did this become a cross-country move, solo, to New Hampshire?
What element am I missing to make up for the .8585x remainder of the equation to get myself to 4??

Uh, I don't know what you're missing, either.

But to recap key factors, my job here succumbed to terminal IT reorganization (which happened in January); cymrullewes has been hired as a contractor in Hudson, MA by Intel; I have a prospective job in Westborough, MA, 13 miles from Hudson; and for a number of reasons, we'd both sooner live in southern NH and commute than live in MA.

Amusingly, $PROSPECTIVE_EMPLOYER is planning to move in the not too distant future from Westborough, 13 miles south of Hudson, where we'll likely carpool and I'll drop cymrullewes off on my way, to Westport, 13 miles or so north-east of Hudson, where we'll carpool and she'll drop me off.
(Until I have my CBR929RR back, anyway ... then, as long as the weather holds, I'll probably ride to work as much as I can.)

Uhm.... the gas prices are rather high. I'm not sure that using two vehicles would be such a good thing for our budget if we could use just one. Unless of course I'll be riding pillion which means I definitely need to get a set of leathers. Unless of course you start riding after I leave Intel in which case of course all bets are off.
