Yahoo! has a new social networking site, 360°.yahoo.com.  It's currently in invite-only public beta.  If you'd like to poke around on it, and don't mind maybe running across a few bugs here and there, drop me a comment, with your email address if you don't already know I have it, and I'll send you an invite.  All comments are screened, so your email address will not be out on public display.

[livejournal.com profile] unixronin is making an excellent suggestion that you look for Safari to use as a web browser. There is a Firefox available for Mac (but I think it is the same as Safari but won't go check because Wen the Eternally Surprised is waiting for me to finish catching up with LiveJournal.)

Huh. Hadn't noticed that got unscreened.

Not that it matters, I'm just curious how.

Doh! LJ automatically unscreens things you reply to ....

Hmmm, what got unscreened? [livejournal.com profile] likefinewine's comment? Dunno. It's all still friends-locked, I think.

*shrug*

Oh! Right. I remember playing with that when doing Chipotle post. Basically if you reset your journal default to unscreened before anyone comments then nothing gets screened.

How is your day going?

Oh, it's still friends locked, yes. But I had it set to screen replies so as not to expose harvestable email addresses. And replies that I don't reply to stay screened, but anything I rely to is automatically unscreened.

I'm having a hard time getting organized to get things done, but the final rent is paid, etc ... I just need to figure out what to pack in what order and what to ship ahead.

What is yours to bring? The furniture is being picked up Tuesday (hopefully morning), Scottish Maids is picking up stuff, and you know the computers get taken down and packed absolutely last. Sandy is coming over for foodstuffs. The three boxes of stuff I sent you plus the suitcase should all fit in to your car. I don't know what you've bought other than the computers that will take up a lot of space. I guess, what I'd do is I'd put everything except your clothing in to boxes and ship it here and yeah, don't box the computers either. You should have seen me trying to pack for this trip. *shudder* I thought I'd save myself some headache and get Goose to pack for herself. Not a good idea.

God. I miss you. I absolutely hate the fact that this move is putting you through the grinder. IF you call me on Friday I can and WILL arrange to meet you somewhere within a couple hours drive from here and drive you in IF you need me. I'll get someone to go with me so they can drive my car back here.

We'll see if that's necessary. Only the perishable foodstuffs are going to Sandy -- anything non-perishable (cans, boxes, jars, bottles, onions/garlic etc) is coming with me.

I figure on packing and shipping as much light and non-breakable stuff as I can. This includes most of the rescued computer components, but not complete machines. The biggest consumers of space will be the two 20" monitors.

Two?

Those will most definitely take up the back seat of the car.

Speechless. Well, no. Without anything useful to say.

We're picking up the playroom right now and will continue the clean up tomorrow. It's about half done. I want to make sure you can walk in to the room and not have to worry about stepping on anything except carpet even if we're only going to be here another week or so after you are here.

Which reminds me to finally get around to checking out www.woodsedgeapartment.com, at least that's what I think the sign said. I tend to pass the billboard at about 75mph on 93 on the way here. And it isn't. *sigh* I'll have to pay more attention on Monday. Neither is it WoodsLanding. My brain is frying. I can hear the sizzle of it in my ears.

There's the 21" monitor I'm using on Vorlon, and a 20E20 monitor that'll replace the 20D10 on Minbar that we were going to give to geekboi. Tere's also a 17" Sun monitor here that'll work with a PC as well, which I'll bring only if I can fit it in.
