In the continuing quest for suitable userpics, I pulled out qCAD last night and recreated my mon.  It actually looks better at larger scales because, well, when it's scaped down to userpic size the fine detail and the lines disappear and I have to fill it in to have it show up clearly at all. But this is what it looks like for real.  Aficionados of Things Japanese will probably recognize immediately that it's made up of four torii gates.  (No, they have nothing whatsoever to do with Tori Amos.)

In other news, there's a minor change to the schedule for my surgery.  It's still scheduled for November 4, but just got moved up from 1pm to noon, which means I have to be at the surgicenter by 1045.  If this one works, I should be able to walk relatively normally (as long as I have shoes on) without pieces of my foot coming apart.  On the other hand, if it doesn't work, it's going to be bad, because it'll mean that until medical science comes up with something else to try, I'm basically wheelchair-bound for the duration.

Well, we'll see.  What will be, will be.
