New layout

So, LJ made a new layout available this morning.  I think I kinda like it, though I'm not sure I don't still like the Component layout better (but Component is only available to paid accounts, which this isn't, yet.)  I've put it in place and futzed with the ugly default colors somewhat.

Comments?  Flames?  LARTage?

Eh. I'm a bit both ways on it (I've also had a hellish day at work and a beer, so take what I say with a bucket of salt).

I like the archive feature on the left.

I don't like the acres of wasted space under the archive feature.

I didn't see the default colour scheme but I like the one you have it set to.

Yeah, I'd like to get rid of the wasted space too. I'd also like to be able to make it 100% of page width instead of maximum 90%, and I'd like to be able to make the left column narrower. (There's a "skinny" setting for that, but I'm already using it and it appears to have no effect.)

...I just looked at the customizations again, and it's noted that the failure of sidebar width enforcement to work properly is a known bug. To see it as it's supposed to look, look at jproulx's journal.

Hope the bug gets fixed soon.
