An angry crowd in Mexico City has burnt alive two police officers and seriously injured another after mistaking them for child kidnappers.  Moral of the story: It might not be smart to sit around in plainclothes in an unmarked car outside a school and photograph the kids leaving, in an area where people care about their kids.

Massive street protests continue as the Ukraine awaits posting of official results in its hotly-disputed presidential election.  See, it's not just the US....

Meanwhile in Africa, the Rwandans are at it again.  The Rwandan government is threatening top attack Hutu rebel camps in the Congo unless the Congolese government disarms them.

Also from the Dark Continent, in addition to the related charges against him in South Africa, Mark Thatcher has been ordered to face questions from Equatorial Guinea regarding his alleged financing of an attempted coup there.

And in Indonesia, police have arrested four men in connection with a suicide bombing at the Australian embassy in Jakarta.  The suspects were reportedly all wearing small personal suicide bombs strapped around their waists, but "for some reason the individual's suicide packs were not used."  Well, yeah; convincing someone ELSE to blow themselves to bits for the Glorious Cause is one thing.  Actually doing it yourself is another....
