So, I've discovered that, as a consequence of the way it fastens, there's a severe drawback to using the night splint in order to be able to walk around the house.
Two words: "severe edema." I've had the night splint on for about the past seven hours, and from just in front of the strap at the ankle on forward, my foot looks like a balloon. The skin is tight and shiny. I think I'll be spending the rest of the evening with my foot up.
This sucks.
(And I wanted to clear off my desk, too....)
no subject
put foot on desk. move foot sideways until it reaches the edge of the desk. repeat in the other direction. voila! desk is cleared :D
