"Keep it dry for 24 hours," Cindy said, "then you can shower and wash your foot, but no baths -- don't soak it.  Leave the steri-strips on until they come off by themselves."

So today I got my shower (ah, to feel clean!), and all but two of the steri-strips came off, mostly because the skin they're attached to is sloughing off.  This always happens when my toe swells badly after surgery; it seems like it just blows the top layer of the epidermis off.

The toe looks good.
