I know I'm only half awake right now, but isn't there only ONE Nobel Peace Prize? Aren't all the rest of the prizes just Nobel Prizes in the various fields (i.e., Nobel Prize for Literature, Economics, etc.), with Peace being separate from those? Correct me if I'm wrong...

And, to be painfully accurate, the Economics is not a Nobel Prize. It is a Bank of Sweden Prize in _Memory_ of Alfred Nobel. The others were stipulated in the last will and testament of Alfred; the Economics prize was invented later, and even though it is awarded in the same ceremony, it is a different thing.

The difference between Noble Peace and Nobel Others is that Peace is awarded by a Norwegian organization, whereas the Others are awarded by the Swedish academy of sciences. (At Alfred Nobel's time, Norway and Sweden shared the head of state, and thus, were almost a union. This possibly is the reason why old Alfred stipulated a sharing of responsibilities between the two countries.)
