The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution confers an individual right to keep and bear arms for self-defense, hunting, defense of the Unites States against attack, and any other lawful purpose to which you may put them.

It does NOT confer a right to casually open fire upon the neighbor's kids from up the street, some random motorcyclist whom your daughters almost ran off the road, or in general anyone who happens to piss you off.

i have a feeling a biker gang member in prison will "have his way" with this psycho.

his wife will have no one to protect here, and she'll lose the house.

the daughter's will end up working the streets like the ho's they sound like they are.

sweet justice?

[livejournal.com profile] cymrullewes commented (and I suspect she may be right) that perhaps the wife is as psychotic as the hubby.

She clearly instigated it. Unfortunately, our legal system doesn't have good mechanisms for dealing with such things. I suppose they could try her as an accessory, but I'm sure that won't happen.

On the good news front:

WATKINSVILLE - An Oconee County Superior Court jury convicted a Bogart man Monday of murder and aggravated assault for shooting a motorcyclist in the back and killing him last winter.

Richard Harold "Ricky" Gear was sentenced to life plus five years in prison for malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in the Feb. 25 death of Bryan Joseph "B.J." Mough of Winder.
-snip-

Now let's hope the verdict and sentence stands. One of my grand uncles was shot in the back and killed about 40 years ago, and his killer served 7 years. It would be nice to see the appropriate sentence here stand.

Yeah, I think a lot of people are hoping that. This guy was a total loose cannon.
