CNET reports on a guy from Montreal who, over the course of one year, has traded his way from a single paperclip to a house.  The amazing thing is it only took fourteen trades.

Almost makes me wonder what I could get for a paper clip.  I have lots of paper clips.  Anyone want to trade me something interesting for one?

.....Nah.  If I was going to attempt something like this, I'd want to start with something more interesting than a paper clip.

Well, mostly it was a small town looking to 'get on the map', as it were. (Although, the snowglobe thing was kinda cool.)

I don't know about that. An afternoon with Alice Cooper would be rather interesting.

*whistles innocently*

Except that you already sold them, the Sun chips that GP gave you would work.

Ah, but you neglected to mention that it was a RED paperclip. What could be more interesting?

A radioactive paperclip? I could probably find a way to get one irradiated.

A genuine USSR paperclip? I didn't know that paperclips were into politics. (Although I will allow that they are all that hold some political positions together.)

Also a genuine antique, unless Putin gets his way...
